世界人口は長く緩やかな増加を続けてきたが、19世紀末から現在に至るまで「人口爆発」と呼べるほどのスピードで急増した。西暦1年頃に約1億人（推定）だった人口は1000年後に約2億人(推定)に増え、その後1900年には15億人にまで増えた。それから約100年後の現在は65億人に迫る勢いである。今後は更に人口の増加が見込まれ、西暦2050年以降は100億人に達することが見込まれている。

昔々、ある所に老夫婦が住んでいました。

ある冬の雪の日、お爺さんが町に薪を売りに出かけた帰りに、

罠にかかった一羽の鶴を見つけ、可哀想に思ったお爺さんは

鶴を罠から逃がしてやりました。

激しく雪が降り積もるその夜、美しい娘が老夫婦の家へやってきて、「道に迷ったので一晩

泊めて欲しい」と。夫婦は快く家に入れてやりました。

雪はなかなか止まず、娘は老夫婦の家に留まっていました。

その間、娘は老夫婦の世話をし、彼らを大そう喜ばせていました。

ある日、娘が「布を織りたいので糸を買ってきて欲しい」と言うので爺は糸を買ってき

てあげました。

作業を始める時、娘は「絶対に部屋を覗かないで下さい」と老夫婦と約束を交わしました。

布を一反織り終わると、娘は「これを売って、また糸を買ってきて欲しい」と夫婦にたくし、

老夫婦は町に売りにいきました。

娘が織った布は大変美しく、たちまち町で評判となり、老夫婦は長者となりました。

初めのうちは「絶対に部屋を覗かないで下さい」と言う娘の約束を守っていた老夫婦でした

が、ついに好奇心に負けてしまい部屋を覗いてしまいました。

そこには娘の姿あるはずでしたが、一羽の鶴が布を織っているではありませんか・・・

鶴は布に自分の羽根を織り込み、それを夫婦に売ってもらっていたのです。

機織を終えた娘は自分が爺に助けてもらった鶴だと老夫婦に告げ、両手を広げ鶴に身を

変え、別れを惜しむ老夫婦に見送られ空へと飛びだって行きましたとさ。

Takeda Shingen was born Takeda Tarō (Katsuchiyo), but was later given the formal name of Takeda Harunobu. 1953年の夏、尾道に暮らす周吉とその妻のとみが東京に旅行に出掛ける。東京に暮らす子供たちの家を久方振りに訪ねるのだ。しかし、長男の幸一も長女の志げも毎日仕事が忙しくて両親をかまってやれない。寂しい思いをする二人を慰めてくれたのが戦死した次男の妻の紀子だった。紀子はわざわざ仕事を休んで二人を東京名所の観光に連れて行く。

両親の世話に困った幸一と志げは、二人を熱海の旅館に宿泊させる。しかし、その旅館は安価な若者向きの旅館で、二人は騒々しさになかなか眠れない。翌日、熱海から帰って来た二人に対し、志げはいい顔をしない。居づらくなった二人は志げの家を後にする。周吉は在京の旧友と久方振りに再会し、酒を酌み交わす。とみは紀子の家に泊まる。ここでとみは、死んだ夫を忘れて再婚するように紀子に強く勧めるのだった。周吉は旧友に本音をぶちまけるほど泥酔する。深夜、泥酔状態のところをお巡りさんにとめられて、志げの家に帰ってきてしまう。そこで志げたちの顰蹙を買う。

二人は、子供たちからはあまり温かく接してもらえなかったが、それでも満足した表情を見せて尾道へ帰った。ところが、両親が帰郷して数日もしないうちに、とみが危篤状態であるとの電報が子供たちの元に届いた。子供たちが尾道の実家に到着した翌日の未明にとみは死去した。幸一と志げは悲しみつつも、さばさばした乾いた表情を見せる。

とみの葬儀が終わった後、志げは京子にとみの形見の品をよこすよう催促する。そして志げは、とみよりも周吉が先に死ぬのが望ましかったと主張する。幸一もそれに同調する。紀子以外の子供たちは、葬儀が終わると即座に帰って行った。京子は兄や姉に対し怒りを禁じえなかった。

紀子が東京に帰る前に、周吉は上京した際の紀子の優しさに感謝を表す。そして紀子に再婚を勧める。ここで紀子は初めて自分の苦悩を吐露する。独身を通す自分の将来の不安がぬぐえないことを打ち明けた。涙を流す孤独な紀子に、周吉は妻の形見の時計を与えた。愛する者を失った喪失感を共鳴できる存在は、紀子以外にいなかった。

The stage is the age of civil strife. A story to fight against a bandit while cooperating while seven individual samurais who gathered get over friction with the farmer in order to save the farm village which it is attacked by a bandit, and is poor. I am divided into the previous latter part including a break, and a battle with the bandit is pictured in preparations for collecting samurais and round, the latter part in the first part mainly.

“Seven samurais” became the record-breaking thing in the production side. 　A photography period for about 1 year. 　Production costs 210,000,000 yen that I spent. 　 This is equivalent to current 3,000,000,000 yen, and it is production costs for 7 if it is a then normal work.
When decision, Manager Kurosawa could stream down it when Toho became irritated with time and money to too cost and I “edited a film so as I photographed it and showed it now” and at first showed it in a preview room, I depended. 　However, a bandit finally attacks the film which gave a preview in the village! I finished being scene.After this?! It is said that I answered the question of the director party called “that Manager Kurosawa does not “yet take” it.
It does not seem to have taken time so much till Toho answered it that I “fully took it”.

What are excellent supervision Yasujiro Ozu and Akira Kurosawa, the most different point of two supervision where the name is known to in the world? As for it, the Kurosawa work has really various themes and styles whereas I have the unified style of the one which work group can invite in all “Odu-style” all of Odu. Therefore totally different answers will return by a person if they will choose best 1 of the Kurosawa movie. Probably there will be many people whom “seven samurais” answer the best. There will be much it though subsequently I “live” for it. （These two of them will be decided to undergo a remake soon in Hollywood）However, the person who likes action things as for “the bodyguard” of Kurosawa may say best. In addition, the person watching a movie as art adversely may think that “a revolt” is a crystal of the Kurosawa aesthetics. Or you may think about “the Luo student gate” which won the grand prix in Venetia with best 1 of Kurosawa as a masterpiece staying for the film history. This is a just argument again, too.
　It is not only this. Akira Kurosawa is the most energetic, and, at the point where Toshiro Mifune of the leading role overflowed in charm, it is the masterpiece which the “drunk angel” “wild dog” is hard to throw away. For I individual, I feel like wanting to put up secret masterpiece “Dell ウザーラ” which is apt to be ignored.
　I watch the most of these works and love all. Since the days of a university student, I was a great fan of the Kurosawa movie. However, (it came to be gone down for some reason recently by a work of the director Odu.) Will it be the result that got old;)?
　That’s why the Kurosawa movie may be hard to capture the essence very much to remain by a work by the times so that themes are different. However, I think it seems to be “history of popular music of the lock generation”, and to reflect a Kurosawa movie daringly here with the times called “the Showa”. It is, so to speak, “Akira Kurosawa and Hikaru Kazushi”.
